One time event on the 21st of May 1:45 until 4:45, volunteers should arrive half an hour early (arrive 1-1:15)

VOLUNTEER AT OUR LOCAL FOOD BANK

Looking for a meaningful way to give back to your community? Join us for a 4 hour food bank distribution shift and be part of something that truly makes a difference.

During each shift, you will help ensure individuals and families receive essential food in a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. No experience is needed, just a willingness to help and be part of a team.

What you can expect:
You will be part of a friendly, supportive group of volunteers working together to:
• Welcome and check in clients
• Pack and distribute food hampers
• Restock and organise food supplies
• Help keep the space running smoothly

Shifts are 4 hours long, and roles may change throughout so you stay engaged and the day flows well. You might start by sorting food and later move into distribution or supporting clients on the floor.

Safety
The Calgary Food Bank is an industrial warehouse, so volunteers will be required to sign up using registration and then complete a 25 min course. Then contact firstthird@kxcalgary to confirm they have completed it as this must be done to be able to volunteer.

Come dressed in casual, comfortable clothing that can get dirty, please ensure you are wearing closed-toed shoes.

DAY SHIFT VOLUNTEER PARKING - Calgary Food Bank Volunteer Parking Lot (5601 – 11th Street SE) *Please do not park on the West side of the Calgary Food Bank main warehouse building (5000 11th St SE). This parking area is used for the trucks to maneuver into the loading dock area.
